Dear Charmayne,

Just a note to let you know how much I am enjoying my new look and peace of mind, just fantastic................I do feel I will have a touch more length off the sides and neck in the near future but didn't want to rush into it.  I thought it was important that we got to know each other first!

The reaction from family and friends has been great, I particularly like the part when they say I look younger!  All vanity aside, the really good part is how much more confident I feel in myself, I struggled with that greatly at times and now when I look in the mirror I see Kathy again.

Last week we took our boat to Noosa with friends, I have been loathe to spend time in the boat since we bought it in Sept last year, quite honestly I had not been in it on the water at all.  Last week I sat up front as we scooted along, enjoying the wind for the first time for a long time, it was a great moment for me.............

Thank you so much once again and I will be in touch soon for a trim appointment.

 Mighty thanks to Carleen too

Kathy x

Hello Tango Hair,

Well it has officially been three weeks since I have purchased my freedom hair wig and I must say I cannot be happier!  I would firstly like to thank you both for not only your professionalism and expertise but also for your kindness and sensitivity.  I was first diagnosed with alopecia areata when I was 16, however having extremely curly hair, I was always able to cover the patches whenever they would appear. I was under a dermatologist and frequent cortisone sub-cutaneous injections meant that I could put my alopecia into a ‘deal with it later’ box. However, finding out that my bone density was that of a 50 year old when I was only 25 started my questioning the cortisone. Then getting married when I was 25 and then falling pregnant when I was 26 meant a definite halt to my cortisone treatment.  After the birth of my first son at 27 I saw my hair all but disappear but it wasn’t until my eyelashes and eyebrows went that I realised I had to do something.  Sure lashes and bandanas were an option, but my husband and I had just entered into a partnership in a pharmacy and being in the health care industry, I was not prepared to answer all the questions like… “Do you have cancer?”
So I purchased an artificial wig. It was ok at first but soon the irritation, the movement of it and its wear and tear made me look into Freedom Wigs.  The hardest thing in my whole Freedom Wig journey was the wait but now that is over and I have an unbelievably comfortable, secure and beautiful looking wig!  Thank you so much!
Thanks again,
Bridget

Hi Charmayne & Denise,

I have been an Alopecia Universalis sufferer for 10 years now and have experienced a number of Synthetic Wigs, which when wearing them all the time, they didn’t seem to be lasting and if I didn’t replace them regularly they would look very much like a wig and also not very secure.  A lot of friends and acquaintenances seemed to notice that it was a wig.  I took the plunge with Tango Hair Design and haven’t looked back.

Since I have been wearing genuine hair prosthesis Freedom Wig, it has given me so much more confidence.  I can now go out in the wind holding my head up, without the fear of losing my wig.  While at a Christmas break up I have had a friend come up to me and ask if I had grown my hair back.  I might add that I did not know that this friend knew that I had lost my hair but she had assumed that I was wearing a wig.  In fact I have had close friends wondering the same thing, if I had grown my hair back.  My family say that you would never know that it wasn't my own hair.

Regards,

Jill

Dear Charmayne,

My writing this may seem strange but having gone through the process of looking for a decent hair piece for my husband, we are now celebrating having found the "pot of gold at the end of the rainbow".

Over the years we have seen, we thought, everything that was on offer but one must never stop looking!  Besides the frustration, the cost is certainly another consideration but still without any satisfaction.

Never before have we had the process explained from A to Z but even how to care for the hair properly.  Once the hair is on your head & cut, most places consider their job done but that is not the way Tango works.

This hairpiece is exceptional, easy to look after, very natural looking and fits as close as your own skin.

We are so grateful to Tango for the very professional and understanding way they handle things.

Thank you, from a very satisfied customer and his wife.

Dear Tango Hair,

This is to let you know I am extremely pleased with my Freedom wigs.  I have had Alopecia for 30 years and have suffered the discomfort and embarrassment of wearing nylon wigs for all this time.
My life really has changed since buying a Freedom wig.  I have so much more confidence in my job.  I can now join in games with my grandchildren without the fear of losing my hairpiece.  I love walking my dogs even on a windy day which I would not even consider before.
I really do forget I am wearing a wig now.  I cannot even think of one bad comment.  Thank you so much for your help.  I just wish I had found you sooner.

Love and best wishes

My name is Maureen and I have suffered with Alopecia since 1984.  When I first lost my hair, I tried nylon wigs but hated them because thery caused severe irritations and frequently fell off.

In 1986, I heard about a new kind of wig which had a base that would separate my scalp from the hair.  I have been wearing them every day since then and have been extremely satisified with the comfort they offer as well as their durability.  I would recommend them to others in my situation.

Later, I heard that Tango Hair had become a Brisbane agent for the wigs and I approached them about buying another.  My earlier wig mould had been destroyed in a fire in Sydney and I was forced to start the process again from scratch.  Charmayne and Denise have been very patient and helpful, but most of all, very professional in helping me decide on my next wig.  After a lot of discussions and considering the facts that were presented to me, I decided to go ahead with the new Freedom Hair.

I am amazed by the Freedom Wig and am extremely happy with it.  It is so light and comfortable, fitting so snugly that I don't notice it.  I am able to sleep with it on and conduct my normal activities without any concern about it.  It was the right decision for me.

I'm sure that the reason why the wig fits so well and is so conmfortable to wear is based on the preparation.  Tango are meticulous and precise in their procedures for measuring, fitting and testing.  They painstakingly ensure that everything is perfect before proceding with each phase.  I learned to trust their judgment totally and believe that if there was any concern, or any matter that I should be aware of, they will inform me so that I can make the most appropriate judgment for myself.

Dear Tango Hair,
Thanks a lot for your help with my new wig.  I’m getting lots of compliments and even had a complete stranger ask me where I got my hair cut as it was so nice.
Thanks again
Linda

TO WHOEVER IT MAY CONCERN

We returned from 2 weeks on the island of Kauai in the Hawaiian Islands last Sunday and while there, took special note of the effect of the heat while wearing my silicone based hair piece.  Several people had questioned me about this while at the Qld Alopecia Support August workshop, wondering if the heat would cause discomfort.
The effect of heat is different for each one of us and I have to say here in Auckland it has never been a problem for me even during our hottest and most humid month of February.
While in Kauai the temperatures were in the high 80’s.  After being out and about in very humid weather we would come back to where we were staying and I would disrobe as much as decently possible and take my hair off, sit down with a cool drink and relax BUT if we were going out again even 2 or 3 hours later, it didn’t even occur to me to remove my hair, and when I did, later in the evening, it was like peeling off a layer that was part of me and NOT an uncomfortable part.
On reflection, it seems that the hair piece does not make me any more hot than I would be if my hair was growing.  I will just add that the natural look, the security, is of huge importance to me and being able to freely swim, snorkel and sail without any worries.
Kindest regards and best wishes to everyone,
Bev
